In the autumn of 2005, we saw an offer on the web for a late autumn break in the Mediterranean on the MSC Sinfonia.  We decided to take it, not least because when we looked at the cost it was going to be cheaper than spending a week in a hotel in the UK, and the weather should be better.  We also thought that it would be a good opportunity to visit a number of cities that we had not been to in the past, and to experience a different cruise line.

The links below describe with pictures our MSC experience, and some of the ports that we visited.  This was meant to be a relaxing cruise, so we did not spend as much time in all ports as we would have otherwise done.  There is also a final page, in which we offer our personal opinions of the good and the bad of MSC, and how they compared against our previous cruises.

Palermo

Tunis

Palma

Barcelona

We also stopped at Marseille, but after all the previous day's activities we just fancied a lazy day on board ...
