The Faroe Islands are pretty much equidistant between the Shetland Islands, Norway and Iceland. Their capital, Tórshavn is the one of the smallest capital cities in the world (population only 19,000), and the Sea Princess only just fitted inside the harbour there.

Here we took our one and only ships tour of the cruise - a coach tour first to the National Museum, and then out to the old village of Kirkjubøur, where the oldest church on the island and the unfinished cathedral of St Magnus can be found.  A relaxing morning in the light rain.  We spend the afternoon in Tórshavn itself, wandering up to the King Christian IX obelisk, down to the fort and through the old town centre.
