Venice

Venice was our final destination, and this time we arrived by water rather than by air!  The ship cruised in through the Venitian lagoon throughout the morning, along the Giudecca Canal, passing St Marks Square and providing spectacular views of the city.  We then decided to spend the afternoon away from the (worst of the) crowds, and caught a local waterbus across to Murano, a collection of seven islands linked by bridges and famous for it's glassware.
