Belfast

It seemed rather strange to cruise into Belfast, as Dave was actually born there.  However, arriving by ship in the company of other holiday makers gave a whole new perspective to the city.

The city is working hard to attract cruise ships to visit - this was the first time we have experienced a musical welcoming committee!

The shipyard cranes of Harland and Wolff still tower over the city center.

Street art (other than political murals) is appearing - the creature on the left is known as the "Big Fish".  Every scale is a tile, and every tile tells a story about the city going back hundreds of years.
