Busan (or Pusan) is a major port city on the South coast of S Korea.  The ship ties up within walking distance of the downtown area.

The main attractions of Busan itself appear to be the fish market and the park.  The easiest way to get to the park is to take the escalators up from the shopping street, otherwise it's a bit of a climb. On a good day, the view from the top of the tower is impressive.

Some practical information.  Leave the ship and turn left into town.  There are a number of underground arcades that stretch most of the way into the town centre, and the underground itself is easy and cheap to use.

The people we met in Busan were all very friendly.  The main problem is that Busan is very much a working city, and as such, beyond being Korean and therefore an unfamiliar culture, it is just not very memorable in itself.  Still, it was worth the day that we spend there.
