After a 15 hour journey from London (including transfers) we arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday afternoon, and transferred to our hotel using our pre-booked coach service via AsiaTravel.

Frankly, our brains were so scrambled by the flight and time shift that we just went out for a quick walk before crashing for the night.

We then had the best part of 4 days in Hong Kong.  Each is described below with pictures.

Day One - Mainly on Kowloon.

Day Two - Mainly on Hong Kong Island and the Peak.

Day Three - The Hong Kong Art Museum and Lantau.

Day Four - The Ladies Market and the Peak by night.

Our final impressions of Hong Kong were very positive.  The city is very hectic and crowded, but it is also remarkably clean and feels much safer than many other places that we have visited.  Hotel rooms are well priced for a large city, public transport is quick, efficient and easy to understand, the sights are worth seeing and the shopping is immense.  It's a city that we have subsequently returned to.
